Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for our client in Vancouver, WA. This position supports operations within the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the following: industrial manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, IQF refrigeration systems, preventive maintenance programs, and advanced troubleshooting.

Pay & Schedule
Pay: $27–$32/hour DOE
Shift: Swing shift, 3:00pm–11:00pm; occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments on manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues related to IQF processing equipment
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Monitor refrigeration and production systems and address performance irregularities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS or maintenance management software
• Respond to emergency repair needs to minimize production disruption
• Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance tools
• Provide guidance and support to Maintenance Technician 1 staff and assist with training initiatives

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment, including refrigeration systems used in IQF processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
• Familiarity with GMP standards in a food manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with CMMS or maintenance tracking software
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on food processing or refrigerated production equipment strongly preferred
• Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts
• Experience with automation systems and industrial controls
• Metal fabrication experience
• Experience working in cold storage or food processing facilities

Work Environment
This position operates within a food manufacturing facility and includes exposure to cold storage areas, refrigerated production spaces, wet conditions, noise, and moving machinery. Work requires standing, walking, crouching, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Compliance with GMP standards and required PPE at all times is mandatory.
