Conveyor Belt Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Heavy Industrial Conveyor Belt Technician to join our partner’s team. We have spots open in multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest. This position includes installation, repair, and maintenance of heavy industrial conveyor belts and related mechanical systems in the field.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Pay: $25–$35+/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Field Work

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain heavy industrial conveyor belts and mechanical systems

• Perform vulcanizing, cold bond, lap, finger, and steel cable splices with precision

• Conduct pulley lagging and ensure optimal belt performance and longevity

• Inspect belts for wear, damage, and misalignment; recommend appropriate repairs

• Operate and maintain specialized splicing and lagging tools and equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance

• Follow all safety standards and site procedures to ensure a safe work environment

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task

• Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients in the field

What You Bring

• Proven experience as conveyor belt technician

• Strong working knowledge of conveyor belt construction, materials, and repair methods

• Expertise in lap splices, finger splices, steel cable splices, and cold splicing

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot associated systems

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals

• Physically fit, capable of lifting heavy materials, and comfortable working outdoors

• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and adapt to varying field conditions

• Must be 18+ years of age and pass pre-employment drug and background screening

Maybe You Have

• Experience in mining, aggregate, or other heavy industrial environments

• Additional certifications in mechanical maintenance or industrial safety

• Leadership experience on field crews

  This is a field-based role in a heavy industrial, above-ground mining environment. Work involves exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. PPE is always required.
