Job Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Mechanic for our client in Woodland, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing custom CNC machinery and related wood processing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimal downtime. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

  • Monday thru Friday, 8 hour days.

  • Training period during the DAY shift: 5am-1:30pm, start time flexible.

  • After training period, permanent shift is 1pm-9:30pm.

Starting Pay: $34/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and machining centers

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on CNC equipment

  • Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems on production machinery

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize equipment downtime

  • Install, align, and calibrate new or rebuilt machinery

  • Perform emergency repairs as needed to restore production capabilities

  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for repairs

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with CNC equipment

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, gears, belts, chains, and hydraulics

  • Understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, and motor controls

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)
