Industrial Service Technician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill for an Industrial Service Technician role for their client located in Portland, who specializes in industrial and petroleum products.

Pay Range: $26.00 to $35.00/hour DOE
Job Type: Temporary (3 months) with potential for temp-to-hire

SHIFT:

• Mon - Fri

• 7:30am - 4:00pm

Position Overview

An experienced Industrial Service Technician with a strong mechanical and technical background in pumps and industrial equipment. This role involves both in-house and field repair work, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial pumps; list and source necessary parts.

• Read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of operation and parts manuals.

• Continuously learn about a broad range of pump types and related equipment.

• Educate customers on replacement parts and product maintenance.

• Collaborate closely with service technicians and sales staff.

• Travel to customer sites; occasional overnight travel required.

• Overtime may be needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• 2+ years of experience in pump repair or related technical service preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and customer service skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.

• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook; internet navigation).

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or on a team.

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to a safety-first, ownership-focused culture.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
