Electrician

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician for our client in Williamsport MD. This person will ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in an industrial facility by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing low- and high-voltage equipment (up to 480V). They support automation systems, perform preventative maintenance, and mentor junior staff while adhering to safety protocols and company values.

Pay: 37/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to safety policies, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and enforce maintenance department standards.

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including conduits and wiring.

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues using meters, test equipment, and PLC diagnostics.

• Support PLC troubleshooting and automation systems.

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Assist with capital projects, ensuring material availability and project alignment.

• Coordinate with contractors for efficient work completion.

• Plan and schedule electrical work, providing input on timelines and resources.

• Train and mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff.

• Document work, update logs, and provide detailed reports.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of industrial electrician experience.

• Proficient in troubleshooting with electrical test instruments.

• Familiar with Excel, Word, Google Suite for work logs.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

• Work in a warehouse/factory setting with exposure to mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and loud noises.

• Stand, walk, handle tools, and reach regularly; occasionally sit, climb, or crawl.

• Lift/move up to 75 lbs regularly, 100 lbs occasionally.

• May work outside regular hours; requires distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
